The voting for class officers for 2013 for the International Laser Class Association - North American region is now final. The committee is: Chairman - Andy Roy; Vice Chairman - Meka Taulbee; Secretary - Lauralee Symes; Treasurer - Eric Reitinger; At Large - Christine Neville.
With 45 Lasers, good wind and great help on the race committee and in the kitchen, we couldn't have asked for a better weekend at the 31st Chesapeake Bay Laser Masters Championship.
SoCal served up sun, breeze and great participation for the regatta held over Labor Day weekend at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club in Long Beach, CA Vann Wilson won the 34 boat Standard fleet and Christine Neville dominated the 43 strong Radial fleet. Full results.
The 2012 District 22 and Flathead Lake Laser Championships were held the weekend of August 18-19 at the North Flathead YC in Somers, MT. Many Northwesterners were busy with big events out on the coast, but we were very happy with the healthy turnout of quality sailors who did attend, including the local talent. Half the field had competed in major championships, the North Americans, and/or the Masters Worlds in the past year.
